BHC Alhambra Hospital is located in the beautiful city of Rosemead, California. Our 115 bed facility established in 1924 prides itself on upholding a standard of excellence that allows our patients to take the first step to recovery. BHC Alhambra Hospital is a private, fully accredited, full-service acute psychiatric hospital serving children, adolescents and adults. BHC Alhambra is dedicated to providing quality behavioral health, substance abuse, and eating disorder treatment. We offer inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient options for individuals in the communities of the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles County, and surrounding areas.
Job Description: The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support for the Administration Department staff, including performing clerical duties, attending departmental and clinical meetings, coordinating medical staff activities, providing support relating to personnel matters as required.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate with Director's and Facility Management to gather information to respond to inquiries and/or prepare reports as requested.
- Perform clerical tasks including facility administrative records, answering/initiating phone calls and intercom pages in a professional manner.
- Prepare and mail monthly meeting calendars to the medical staff and facility staff.
- Ensure that pertinent information is reported to the Consulting Board, Medical Executive Committee, Medical Staff Committees and Facility Committees.
- Assist Department Heads with revisions as requested.
- Assist in the preparation of licensing and accreditation surveys.
- Act as Custodian of Petty Cash; distribute petty cash as requested, obtain approval from dept. heads, balance petty cash and replenish as needed.

QualificationsRequirements:
Education : High school degree or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience : A minimum of one (1) year experience, preferably in a health care setting preferred.
