Catering Assistant

In this role, the Catering Assistant will help create welcoming and memorable experiences by supporting food service, event coordination, and workplace hospitality initiatives. Who You Are You have experience in hospitality, workplace services, office operations, or client-facing support roles You are highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment You deliver exceptional service and create positive experiences for guests, clients, and colleagues You communicate professionally with individuals at all levels and build strong working relationships You are self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively You maintain confidentiality, demonstrate sound judgment, and are proficient with Microsoft Office applications What You'll Do Coordinate meeting and event logistics, including food and beverage arrangements for internal and client-facing gatherings Ensure conference rooms and shared spaces are prepared, organized, and fully functional throughout the day Partner with internal teams and external vendors to support workplace operations and event needs Manage room scheduling, visitor coordination, and day-to-day front-of-house activities Monitor office and kitchen inventories, maintaining appropriate stock levels and a welcoming environment Support administrative functions, including expense processing, budget tracking, and operational reporting What Success Looks Like Meetings, events, and daily office operations run smoothly and efficiently Guests and employees consistently receive a professional, responsive, and high-quality experience Workplace areas remain organized, well-stocked, and ready to support business needs Requests, schedules, and operational tasks are handled accurately and on time Strong partnerships are maintained with colleagues, vendors, and building management Administrative processes, reporting, and expense submissions are completed accurately and with attention to detail Pay Rate Range: $30 – $35 per hour, based on experience Location: New York, NY Gainor is committed to the principle of equal employment opportunity for all employees and to providing employees with a work environment free of discrimination and harassment.
