As an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify authorized access, monitor activity, and support a secure environment for employees, visitors, and shipments. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $16.82 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PMWed10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location. Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorization for personnel and vehicles, maintain visitor logs, and communicate access-related concerns to appropriate site contacts. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location. Document daily activities, access-control events, and unusual conditions in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 6 months of security-related experience. Customer service experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
