Out of the Box Physical Therapy | Cedar Knolls, NJ Are you the type of person who can strike up a conversation with anyone? Out of the Box Physical Therapy is looking for a Clinical Service Specialist to become the face and voice of our practice. This is an ideal position for a recent college graduate or young professional who is highly personable, organized, tech-savvy, and eager to learn. We are a sports and orthopedic physical therapy clinic that prides itself on delivering exceptional patient experiences through one-on-one care. We believe the patient experience begins long before treatment starts, and this role is critical in creating that experience. What You'll Do
- Be the first point of contact for patients in person, by phone, text, and email
- Schedule patient appointments and manage provider schedules
- Collect copays and assist patients with billing questions
- Verify insurance benefits and educate patients on their coverage
- Coordinate with physician offices regarding referrals, prescriptions, and patient care needs
- Communicate with our billing company to ensure accurate and efficient claims management
- Maintain organization of patient records and administrative systems
- Manage company email and fax communications
- Assist with social media content collection, posting, and engagement
- Support community outreach and relationship-building efforts
- Help identify opportunities to improve clinic operations and patient experience
- Outgoing, friendly, and confident in conversation
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Able to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, dependable, and proactive
- Strong with technology and computer systems
- An excellent written and verbal communicator
- A team player who takes ownership and initiative
- Bachelor's degree preferred (or graduating soon)
- Customer service, hospitality, sales, healthcare, fitness, or administrative experience is a plus
- Proficiency with computers, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and social media platforms
- Experience with healthcare administration is helpful but not required—we can teach the right person
