In this role, you will be responsible for general ledger accounting activities including preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts and financial statements. - Compile and analyzes financial information to prepare general ledger entries
- Performs statistical analysis to determine trends, estimates, and significant changes to general ledger accounts
- Resolves inconsistent or inaccurate financial information in preparation of schedules, account reconciliations, and reports
- Assists in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Other duties as assigned, including special projects
- BA/BS degree in accounting
- Experience with general ledger functions, preparing and reviewing account reconciliations, and identifying, researching, and resolving problems
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and principles
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and especially Excel)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Access - accounting software
- The ideal candidate plans to pursue their CPA
- Experience including the month-end/year-end close processes strongly preferred
- Experience with intercompany transactions preferred
