Assistant Nurse Manager- Christian Hospital Emergency Room- NIGHTS

Overview Christian Hospital is a healthcare provider in St. Louis, Missouri, serving the community with high quality medical care. Role Purpose Coordinates patient care, personnel management, maintenance of equipment, and statistical accumulation. Responsibilities Hire, train, assign work, manage and evaluate performance, and conduct professional development plans. Ensure productivity and actions meet departmental goals. Participate in staffing, revenue/expense budgeting, and adhere to those goals. Provide and oversee patient care according to planned interventions, ensuring proper documentation per policy. Create and implement collaborative care plans based on assessment and diagnosis. Review staff hours vs scheduled hours and determine appropriate dispositions. Perform daily payroll updates, reconcile time cards, manage bonus tracking and coding approvals. Prepare staff communications, huddle agendas, and lead meetings; determine staffing needs and assign overtime. Recommend effective annual increases, interview staff for open positions, conduct performance reviews, issue corrective actions, and follow up on disciplinary actions. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend areas for improvement. Minimum Requirements Nursing diploma or associate’s degree in nursing. 2–5 years of experience. No supervisor experience required. Registered Nurse license. Preferred Requirements Bachelor’s degree in nursing. 5–10 years of experience. Supervisor experience. Emergency room experience preferred.
