Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive in-person evaluations and assessments, gathering essential information from patients and families to inform treatment planning. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to monitor patient progress, ensuring effective therapy and support strategies are implemented. Engage with family members to provide educational resources and emotional support, enhancing the therapeutic alliance and overall family dynamics. Apply evidence-based practices and Natural Learning Environment Practices to develop tailored therapy plans that align with each family’s needs. Develop strong rapport with children and families to promote a nurturing environment conducive to growth and healing. Utilize a coaching model to instruct families on strategies to foster their child’s development in everyday settings. Document all interactions and clinical notes meticulously to maintain compliance and support ongoing treatment efficacy. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Safety Sense Wellness, you will primarily work with children and their families facing a range of mental health challenges. Our clients often seek guidance on issues related to anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, and familial conflicts. Your role will be pivotal in empowering parents and caregivers through specific strategies and support, ensuring that the entire family unit thrives. Qualifications A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution. Current LMFT licensure in California. A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a licensed therapist, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, crucial for managing documentation and therapy hours. A self-motivated attitude with the capability to initiate tasks independently while being a collaborative team player. Preferred Experience While not mandatory, experience working in outpatient settings and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or play therapy will be advantageous. Additionally, knowledge of family systems theory and culturally competent practices is highly valued.
