The incumbent will be working in varying temperatures of high heat in the summer and cold in the winter preforming the following tasks:\n\n\n• Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs, and tests mechanical equipment and related devices.\n\n• Troubleshoots and corrects structural placement.\n\n• Makes recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems.\n\n• May provide operation and maintenance instruction to customer personnel.\n\n• Performs preventative maintenance.\n\n• Participates in special projects, as required.\n\n\nWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:\n\n• Education: Associates of Arts/Associates of Science.\n\n• Required Experience: Associate's Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience. 1-3 years of directly related experience supporting engineering operations.\n\n\n• Location: On Customer Site.\n\n• US Citizenship Required.\n\nCertifications: \n\n\nMay require TAC welding certification. \n\n\nGDIT IS YOUR PLACE:\n\n• 401K with company match\n\n• Comprehensive health and wellness packages\n\n• Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career\n\n• Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications\n\n• Cutting-edge technology you can learn from\n\n• Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays\n\n\n#hireshipyardcareersgdit \n\n\nThe likely hourly rate for this position is between $26.35 - $35.65. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
