The City Fire Department is seeking motivated Part-Time Firefighters to support daily staffing and serve alongside our full-time crews. This paid, non-benefitted position allows up to 999 hours of work annually.

• Respond to emergencies and perform firefighting, rescue, and EMS support duties

• Maintain monthly training and readiness requirements

• Work 12–24 hour shifts as scheduled, primarily at Station 2

• Follow department policies, safety standards, and supervision from company officers

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to pass a physical ability test and background/medical screenings

• Firefighter I (within 6 months of hire)

• HazMat Awareness/Operations

• EMT certification preferred

Schedule & Pay:

• Up to 96 hours per pay period / 999 hours per year

• Hourly compensation starting at $15.17/hour (Recruit or Firefighter grade based on certifications)
