Job Description
Join the legal frontline and champion the defense for both the insured and the Company! As a Trial Attorney, you'll handle PIP/No Fault Arbitration Hearings, bodily injury, property damage lawsuits, and more, with opportunities to handle thrilling trials and mediations. Beyond the courtroom, you'll provide vital counsel to business clients and coordinate between legal teams. Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of PIP/no-fault litigation from case inception through resolution including case evaluation, discovery, motion practice, arbitrations, mediations, and settlement negotiations.
• Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal research for cases, including preparation for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.
• Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents; prepare summaries and reports.
• Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.
• Interview clients and witnesses, as well as drafting summaries of their statements and maintaining communication records.
• Attend Arbitration hearings court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings to observe and assist as needed; may represent the company or clients in routine matters.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations, and assist in updating the legal team on potential impacts to ongoing cases.
• Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to develop legal skills and gain exposure to more complex legal work.

Education

• Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the New Jersey state bar.

Minimum Requirements

• Successful completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis, demonstrating the ability to conduct thorough legal research and draft clear, well-structured legal documents.
• Demonstrates strong time management skills, effectively balancing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Capable of organizing case files, managing legal documents, and understanding the discovery process.
• Skilled in communicating with clients, preparing summaries, and maintaining records of interactions.
• Well-versed in legal ethics and the standards of professional conduct.
• Equipped with fundamental negotiation techniques and strategies for client interactions and settlement discussions.

Remote Work Location & Travel Requirements

• This role is primarily remote; however, candidates must be based in New Jersey and willing to travel as required. Travel will occur most often within Northern and Central New Jersey, with the ability to travel to counties outside the immediate region as business needs dictate.
• The selected candidate must also have the ability to travel to the designated office location once per week for meetings during the first six (6) months in the role. Additional travel may be required periodically to support team collaboration, stakeholder meetings, or operational needs.
• Candidates should have reliable transportation and flexibility to meet these travel requirements.

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is 70,100.00 - 121,475.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
