Temporary Staff Accountant Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Staff Accountant to provide leave coverage within the Finance Department of a health center!

Temporary Staff Accountant Assistant Details:

Temporary position
$23.68 to $35.52 / hour
Full Time work available
First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 08:00am to 05:00pm )

Accurately record financial transactions and maintain the general ledger.
Reconcile bank statements, balance sheet accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
Support the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
Research and resolve routine accounting inquiries, discrepancies, and account issues from internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with annual audits by compiling documentation and preparing auditor support schedules.
Provide backup support for payroll processing and perform other accounting duties as needed to support department operations.

Temporary Staff Accountant Assistant Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within a nonprofit environment.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, reporting, and data analysis.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and financial reconciliation skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of an organization.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Willing to work 8+ week temporary assignment
