A better future?Job DescriptionAs a member of the Lear Farwell Maintenance Team, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring plant equipment and facilities are operational and meet health & safety and production requirements; including the supervision of staff, assuring the quality of work, providing needed supplies and components, scheduling work, and the accurate documentation of work scheduled and completed.ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership to department associates and create a positive, safe work environment for maximizing employee development, effectiveness and efficiencyDeliver safety training for proper access and use of equipment and audits individuals' safety performance in accordance with OSHA, MIOSHA, and company safety policiesImplement Reliability Engineer's control plans for preventative, precision and predictive maintenanceWork with maintenance team to craft effective job tasks for repair work orders and routine inspectionsCreate and administer job packages that include task instructions, safety requirements and permits, special tool requirements, kitted parts list, priority, and timing.Audits the execution of critical repairs and inspections for accuracy and completenessMaintains the Work in Planning (WIP) and Work Ready to Schedule (WRTS) backlogProvides daily work schedules, including job packages, to all maintenance and tooling associatesWorks with suppliers to ensure that parts arrive on time and as orderedEnsures that maintenance and tooling associates accurately and consistently input required data into MP2Maintains the daily and weekly resource availability schedulesWorks within the corporate purchasing system to maintain effective spare parts inventoryAll other duties assigned by supervisorMajority of work is indoorsQualificationsAssociates degree or equivalent in verified experience and training Excellent safety record.
