Transmission Line Engineer PE

The position falls within the transmission department of the organization. The engineer will work to complete projects that support our utility customers. They will work with in-house and client engineers and designers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the engineering and design activities related to transmission line design such as engineering analysis and design, route selection, material acquisition, structural and foundation design, and project and construction management
• Prepare project construction documents such as: plan and profile drawings; design drawings; engineering, material, and construction specifications; project schedules and bills of material
• Develop project design alternatives and corresponding cost estimates
• Design new transmission facilities with voltages ranging from 69kV and 765kV
• Utilize PLS-CADD to model transmission line design projects

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering (ABET)
• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering (ABET) will count toward years of experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) is required

This is a Permanent position based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Atlanta,Georgia.
