Environmental Services Housekeeper
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Environmental Services Housekeeper to join the facilities maintenance team in Brighton MI.
Pay Range: $18.00/hr - $19.00/hr
1st & 2nd Shift Openings Available:
- 1st Shift: 7am or 8am - 3:30pm or 4:30pm
- 2nd Shift: 4pm or 5pm - 12:30am or 1:30am
The Environmental Services Housekeeper will maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the medical facility. Your efforts will directly contribute to the overall hygiene and safety standards of the premises, ensuring a positive experience for employees, visitors, and patients alike. The ideal candidate will possess strong custodial skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in cleaning practices.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and sanitize restrooms, common areas, hallways, exam rooms, surgical rooms, and pharmacy rooms in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Perform routine cleaning and sanitization tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuum, and trash removal to uphold cleanliness standards.
- Clean all tools, supplies, and equipment after each use and store in their proper place.
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently and safely.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet paper as needed.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management.
- Follow established cleaning procedures to ensure consistency and quality.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
Qualifications:
- Janitorial or cleaning experience is not required, training can be provided
- Proven janitorial, sanitation or custodial experience - is a PLUS
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and commercial cleaning equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
