Cobalt Smoke and Sea is seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our vibrant restaurant team. This entry-level position requires a minimum of one year of cooking experience and basic knife skills. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant’s standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and contributing to our overall growth.

**Schedule:** Tuesday to Saturday, 2 PM - Close (Closed on Sundays and Mondays)

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Station Setup: Ensure your station is properly set up and stocked with necessary ingredients and equipment before service begins.
- Food Preparation: Prepare components of each dish on the menu, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces as instructed.
- Collaboration: Report directly to the Executive Chef and follow instructions to ensure a cohesive kitchen operation.
- Sanitation Standards: Maintain health and safety standards in food preparation and storage areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper sanitation at all times.
- Closing Procedures: Adhere to proper closing standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Inventory Management: Assist in stocking inventory and supplies as needed to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Cooking Support: Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to cook and present menu items efficiently and effectively.

**Requirements:**
- **Experience:** Minimum of one year in a cooking position within a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Skills: Basic knife skills and an understanding of restaurant best practices and cooking methods.
- Communication: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills with an aptitude for multi-tasking and handling simultaneous kitchen tasks.
- Team Player: Ability to work cooperatively and efficiently within a team-oriented atmosphere.

**Compensation:**
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience - $20-$22/hour
