Key responsibilities of the RN – Med Surg include:

• Provide competent nursing care to patients experiencing chest pain, syncope, and angina
• Interpret cardiac rhythms and manage cardiac drips, Heparin, and blood products
• Perform trach care, PIV starts, and manage chest tubes, NGT, and other drainage systems
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care
• Float to other units as needed, providing adaptable staffing support

Requirements of the RN – Med Surg include:

• 18 months of Med/Tele RN experience
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification
• General Med/Tele skillset including stroke experience
