Senior Procurement AgentThe Senior Procurement Agent is responsible for entering into negotiations with suppliers by reviewing terms and conditions, establishing pricing, contract formulation, and any supplier management conditions affecting the division.Primary ResponsibilitiesProvide accurate and timely local supplier negotiations and contracting based on defined category selection criteria (i.e., cost, quality, productivity, service)Manage supplier performance monitoring within the division (i.e., cost, quality, productivity, service)National: manage compliance to agreementsScopeLocal: manage and execute contract agreements consistent with sourcing guidelinesCollaborate with Product, DCOs, CMs, FMs, PIMs, RPMs & SalesManage supplier relationships and assist in resolving issues and conflicts related to daily Trade Partner activitiesMaintain all applicable databases (Purchase Pro, DMTs, etc.) used in developing the cost and quantity estimatesVerify estimates of costs and quantities of residential products using comparative and differential estimating techniquesResponsible for Trade Partner Key Performance Indicator (KPI) measurement and validationPerforms analysis of Trade Partner data submissions and manages impact of commodity fluctuationsCommunicate completed estimates to the construction personnel, trade subcontractors and vendors (Purchase Pro)Develop material and labor optimization solutions using Value Engineering tools and methodologyControl trade category costs by utilizing zone tools and methodologiesResponsible for assigned Project Tracker categories and rebate captureDevelop and implement division specific tools and methodologiesFor estimating and controlling trade category costs as requiredAssist zone estimating in methodology development and optimizationDevelop scope and standard operating procedures that assure Trade Partner compliance with Pulte construction standards, local, state and national building codes, and safety regulationsComplete necessary customer option estimatesFollow Pulte business processes for supplier managementContribute as subject matter expert for the Strategic Sourcing Director (if assigned)Management ResponsibilitiesEnsures appropriate staffing to meet department needsUtilizes recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talentDelegates work according to employee's abilities and skillsEvaluates employee's performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performanceProvides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunitiesCreates opportunities for employee growthProvides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors)ScopeDecision Impact: DivisionDepartment Responsibility: SingleBudgetary Responsibility: NoDirect Reports: YesIndirect Reports: NoRequired EducationMinimum Bachelor's Degree or equivalentISCM accreditation preferredRequired ExperienceRelated Functional Experience: Minimum 3 yearsTime in position: Minimum 6 mo. to 1 yr. as procurement professionalBusiness acumen including understanding the impact of purchasing costs on income statements, balance sheets, and cost structuresPurchasing and supply chain experienceAbility to negotiate in a cost transparent environmentAbility to develop and improve vendor partnershipsConstruction knowledgeAbility to work in continuous improvement environmentCategory expertise and ability to positively influence and lead others outside of Division and ProcurementPulteGroup, Inc. and its affiliates do not accept unsolicited resumes from individual recruiters or third party recruiting agencies (collectively, "Recruiters") in response to job postings.
