The pay starts at $24/hour and goes up from there depending on experience. This position is responsible for operating forklifts, including a 150K-180K yard lift, as well as a transfer truck (semi-truck with a 40' flatbed trailer) to move materials throughout company property. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to supporting a high-performing manufacturing team.Material Handlers work closely with production, shipping, and warehouse teams to ensure efficient operations, inventory accuracy, and on-time delivery to our customers. The role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor (or appropriate department leader) and is an on-site position.What You'll Do:Safely operate forklifts to transport, stage, load, and unload materials throughout the facility.Operate a transfer truck with a 40' flatbed trailer to transport lumber and materials between locations on company property.Support production by delivering materials to the right place at the right time to maintain workflow efficiency.Perform accurate ERP transactions and inventory updates to maintain system integrity and inventory accuracy.Conduct cycle counts, material verification, and discrepancy identification activities.Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and work instructions.Collaborate with production, warehouse, and shipping teams to support operational goals and customer commitments.Contribute ideas and participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance safety, quality, and productivity.What Makes You Successful:Reliable with strong attendance and a solid work ethic.Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Ability to prioritize safety while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Effective communication and teamwork skills.Adaptable and willing to support changing operational needs.Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.Job Requirements:Required:High school diploma or equivalent.Material handling experience.Ability to safely operate or become certified to operate forklifts.Ability to safely operate or become qualified to operate a transfer truck with a flatbed trailer on company property.Ability to read and interpret safety procedures, work instructions, and operational documents.Preferred:Manufacturing experience.Basic computer literacy and experience working within inventory or ERP systems.Experience operating large-capacity forklifts (150K-180K yard lifts or similar equipment).Physical & Work Environment Requirements:Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.Frequent forklift operation and climbing in and out of equipment.Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing environments with moderate to high noise levels.If you are eager to join a company that values its employees, provides opportunities for growth, and contributes to making a difference in the world, then Lexington Manufacturing is the place for you.
