Executive Director

$150k - $200k

myPlace Health

myPlace Health is built around a simple but powerful belief: older adults deserve the support they need to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own communities. As a PACE (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly) organization backed by SCAN Group, myPlace Health brings together customized medical care, social activities, and daily support for participants and their families – all under one roof. Our centers are more than healthcare facilities. They are vibrant community hubs where participants are known by name, valued, and supported as whole people. Behind that experience is a dedicated, interdisciplinary team working together to coordinate care, remove barriers, and improve quality of life for some of the most medically and socially complex populations. For employees, myPlace Health offers the opportunity to do deeply meaningful work in a highly collaborative setting. Team members are encouraged to contribute innovative ideas, and grow alongside a mission that prioritizes compassion, respect, and impact. The result is a culture where people feel connected—to their colleagues, their participants, and the communities they serve. At myPlace Health, work is more than a job. It’s a shared commitment to honoring what matters most. myPlace Health is built around a simple but powerful belief: older adults deserve the support they need to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their own communities. It’s a shared commitment to honoring what matters most. About SCAN SCAN Group is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to tackling the most pressing issues facing older adults in the United States. SCAN Group is the sole corporate member of SCAN Health Plan, one of the nation’s leading not-for-profit Medicare Advantage plans, serving more than 300,000 members in California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Washington and Texas. SCAN has been a mission-driven organization dedicated to keeping seniors healthy and independent for more than 40 years and is known throughout the healthcare industry and nationally as a leading expert in senior healthcare. SCAN employees are a group of talented, passionate professionals who are committed to supporting older adults on their aging journey, while also innovating healthcare for seniors everywhere. Employees are provided in-depth training and access to state-of-the‑art tools necessary to do their jobs, as well as development and growth opportunities. SCAN takes great pride in recognizing our team members as experts in their fields and rewarding them for their efforts. If you are interested in becoming part of an organization that is innovating senior healthcare visit or follow us on LinkedIn; Facebook; and Twitter. About myPlace Health myPlace Health was founded in 2021 by mission-driven healthcare leaders and organizations that are committed to drastically improving health outcomes, quality and experience for vulnerable older adults and frail seniors. We are an integrated care delivery organization that specializes in providing personalized care and coverage to older adults who wish to remain safely living in their homes and communities for as long as possible, rather than living in a nursing facility. Our mission is simple: to enable seniors to live the independent lives they deserve. The primary ways in which we pursue our mission are through capitated arrangements with government payers, such as Medicare and Medicaid under the PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) model, and as a value-based provider working in partnership with local health plans. We are building a mission-driven team that shares our passion for redefining the way older adults experience care as they "age in place" in the community. This is a unique opportunity to take on one of our country’s most challenging healthcare problems and it is a unique moment in time to join us as we scale up to spread our mission across markets. The Job The Executive Director is responsible for serving as the senior operating leader for an assigned market, with full accountability for strategy, operations, culture, growth, participant experience, regulatory compliance, and financial performance. In close partnership with the Executive Medical Director, local leaders, and national leadership teams, this role drives the successful execution of the care model to achieve key clinical, quality, member experience, and business outcomes. The Executive Director leads and develops a high-performing market team, builds strong relationships with community and regulatory partners, and ensures the market operates in alignment with organizational goals and PACE requirements. This role is designed for a mission-driven, seasoned operating leader who brings experience leading integrated care operations, ideally in PACE or similar value-based care environments, and who is passionate about improving how care is delivered to vulnerable older adults while helping build capabilities that can scale across markets. You Will Serve as the executive operating leader for the market with full accountability for strategy, planning, operations, participant experience, compliance, and overall performance outcomes. Partner with local and national clinical and operational leadership to drive high-quality care, strong clinical outcomes, participant satisfaction, operational excellence, and regulatory compliance. Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing, diverse market team, including clinical and operational leaders, to support excellent care delivery and sustainable market success. Establish, communicate, and model a clear operating strategy and culture vision that promotes accountability, engagement, service excellence, and alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate with national leadership to implement, optimize, and sustain the infrastructure, systems, and operational processes needed to support all aspects of market performance. Serve as the local expert in the care model and PACE regulatory requirements, ensuring the market maintains compliance and implements effective operational solutions to meet regulatory and organizational standards. Oversee market financial performance, including budget development, resource planning, and ongoing monitoring of financial and operational results. Represent the organization externally by building and maintaining effective relationships with providers, strategic partners, community-based organizations, and regulatory stakeholders. Identify and advance opportunities to strengthen and adapt the care model to meet local community needs, improve participant outcomes, and leverage strategic partnerships. Foster a culture of continuous learning, improvement, and operational ownership by leading with flexibility, sound judgment, and a service-oriented approach that supports participants, caregivers, and staff. We seek Rebels who are curious about AI and its power to transform how we operate and serve our members. Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals. Other duties as assigned. Your Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Public Health, Gerontology, or a related field required Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in healthcare operations, care delivery, or related business leadership roles Minimum of 7 years of supervisory, managerial or executive leadership experience Passion for serving high-risk, vulnerable, and frail older adults Leadership experience building, scaling, growing, improving, and/or turning around care delivery businesses or clinical business units Demonstrated understanding of or experience leading care management functions within PACE, Medicaid managed care, Medicare Advantage, or other government-sponsored health plan models Proven ability to inspire, lead, coach, and mentor high-performing teams in a way that reinforces organizational culture and values Strong ability to communicate confidently and persuasively with internal audiences What’s in it for you? Base Pay Range: $150,000-$200,000, Salary + Bonus Opportunity Work Mode: Onsite An annual employee bonus program Medical, Dental, Vision Coverage Generous paid-time-off (PTO) 11 paid holidays per year, plus 1 additional floating holiday Excellent 401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with employer match Robust employee recognition program Robust Wellness Program Tuition reimbursement An opportunity to become part of a team that makes a difference to our members and our community every day! myPlace Health is building a mission-driven team that shares our passion for redefining the way older adults experience care as they "age in place" in the community. This is a unique opportunity to take on one of our country’s most challenging healthcare problems and join a fast-growing, dynamic team as we prepare to scale our mission to serve more markets.
