Construction Superintendent – K-12 / DSA Construction Employment Type: Full-Time About Our Client: Our client is a leading general contractor specializing in K-12 education, municipal, and public works construction projects across Northern California. Position Overview: Seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for complex K-12 and public works construction projects in the Sacramento region. The ideal candidate is a proven leader who can manage large project teams, uphold the highest safety and quality standards, and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and design partners. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all field operations from preconstruction through project closeout for assigned projects. Manage day-to-day site activities, including scheduling, sequencing, manpower, and logistics. Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and schedule requirements. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve field issues and maintain progress. Lead and mentor field staff, including superintendents, foremen, and trades. Participate in preconstruction planning and constructability reviews. Maintain accurate documentation, daily reports, and as-built records. Foster positive relationships with owners, school districts, and public agencies. Qualifications: Minimum 5+ years of construction experience, with at least 4 years in a Superintendent role. Proven track record managing ground-up and modernization projects within K-12 or public works sectors. Strong knowledge of DSA processes, state and local building codes, and public contracting requirements. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project). OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain). Ability to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently.
