Superintendent/CEOPOSITION: Practical Nurse Classroom/Clinical/Lab Instructor–Adult Workforce DevelopmentREPORTS TO: Director, Adult Workforce DevelopmentAPPLICATION DEADLINE: Open until position is filledSTARTING DATE: ASAPQUALIFICATIONS: Successful applicant must hold a current, valid license as a registered nurse in Ohio, have completed a baccalaureate degree in nursing, and have at least two years of experience in the practice of nursing as a registered nurse. Applicant must be able to secure an Adult Education Permit with the State Board of Education; possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills; work with business/industry and post-secondary institutions; successfully pass a BCI/FBI background check.RESPONSIBILITIES: The Classroom/Clinical/Lab instructor shall possess extensive knowledge related to the field of nursing. Ability to create lesson plans, provide classroom/theory, clinical and lab instruction and use technical equipment related to the field. Create, deliver, and interpret both formative and summative assessments to measure student achievement. Utilize both written and performance assessments. Follow all requirements necessary to maintain program approval by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Prepare hands-on strategies and provide instruction in adult classroom/lab/clinical settings that prepare students for a career as a licensed practical nurse. Supervise clinical experience and provide feedback for students at local healthcare facilities and prepare students to sit for the Licensed Practical Nurse Exam.
