Echocardiology Technician

As an Echocardiology Technician, you play a vital role in improving community health through exceptional patient care. Schedule 8‑hour shifts, PRN – As Needed Team Overview Join our dedicated Imaging team at Harris Regional, an 86‑bed facility that offers a full range of services including general surgery, women's care, intensive care, and emergency services. Our team works in a filmless environment with a picture archiving communication system (PACS) and collaborates closely with all providers and caregivers to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Review patient history and physician orders; educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. When ordered, prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice; monitor patient condition continuously and report or respond to changes in status as appropriate. Prepare equipment and supplies; select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters; implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures; troubleshoot, resolve, and report equipment malfunctions. Position patient and perform imaging procedures; analyze results and identify issues with image quality; take appropriate actions to resolve issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedures. Enter, transmit, and report scan results. Qualifications Associate’s degree; echo certified or registry eligible within one year of employment or transferable into the position. Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire. ACLS and PALS certifications required within six months of hire. One year of experience preferred. ASLS certification preferred.
