Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse in Tucson, Arizona. Job Details

• Position Description: This role assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice. The nurse utilizes specialized knowledge and judgment to deliver appropriate care tailored to the physical and developmental age of patients. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and documentation, with a focus on evidence-based practices.
• Required Qualifications: Current, valid RN license in the state of practice, or a valid temporary/interim RN license or compact RN licensure; BLS certification; none specified for additional certifications or continuing education; 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Additional Information: This position involves working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting adult health patients in observation, inpatient, and expanded spaces including emergency departments and post-anesthesia care units. Previous travel experience is required. The resource float pool may support multiple units across different campuses, with float rotation possibly required.
