Job DescriptionJob Description Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) & RBT Trainee Opportunities Hawai‘i Behavioral Health (HBH) has immediate openings for Certified Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and RBT Trainees (not yet certified) across Oahu, Maui, and Hawai‘i Island.If you—or someone you know—are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families, we would love to connect with you!Position Details Job Type: Part-Time (Flexible; afternoons/evenings preferred)Pay Range:$25.00 – $29.00 per hour; based on experienceExpected Hours: Minimum 15 billable hours per weekThis is a flexible position with multiple scheduling options.Most RBTs begin with part-time hours based on client needs and staff availability, with opportunities for growth based on performance, client availability, and scheduling needs.Responsibilities Implement treatment plans developed by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)Provide support addressing communication, behavior, feeding, and social skill developmentMonitor client progress and collaborate with BCBAs regarding treatment updatesMaintain accurate session documentation and communication with the clinical teamWe provide services in-home, in-community, and/or clinic settings Service Locations HBH is currently hiring for both in-home, in-community and in-clinic services Current Oahu In-Home Support Needs: LaieKaneoheMililaniWaianae / Kapolei (Leeward area)Military Installations (Base Access Required)Additional areas available Current Oahu Clinic Support Needs: 1330 Ala Moana Blvd. Suite 1, Honolulu, HI 96814 Afternoon Hours (2:00 PM – 6:00 PM) & Saturdays (All day)*RBT Trainee Opportunities* HBH is seeking motivated individuals interested in becoming Registered Behavior Technicians through our sponsored RBT Credentialing Program.As an RBT Trainee with HBH, we provide:40-Hour RBT Training through Central Reach InstituteBCBA Competency Assessment completed with HBH BCBAsSupport through the BACB certification processImportant Information: Eligibility for testing and certification approval is determined by the BACB (Behavior Analyst Certification Board)Successful completion of the certification exam is required prior to employment as an HBH RBTRBT Trainee Program Quick Guide: HBH provides the required 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) ONLINE training course at no cost, along with guidance and support from our ABA team throughout the training and certification process.The training and onboarding process typically takes 6–8 weeks to complete, depending on individual progress and credentialing requirements.Please note that the training period is unpaid, and compensation begins only after all training, credentialing, and onboarding requirements have been successfully completed and you are approved to begin providing direct services to clients.While the 40-hour training course is provided at no cost, registration fees, competency assessment and examination fees, travel expenses, and any other associated costs (i.e. CPR/First Aide) are the responsibility of the trainee and will not be paid or reimbursed by HBH.Upon successful completion of the RBT certification process and the start of employment, participants are expected to fulfill a 360 billable-hour employment commitment with HBH.
