About the Opportunity

I am building the sales team for a growing insurance agency in the Chicagoland area and am looking for a motivated Insurance Sales Producer who wants to help grow the agency from the ground up.

This is a sales-focused position for someone who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, following up consistently, and closing new business.

The right candidate should be comfortable working both agency opportunities and developing their own pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals, networking, and relationship building.

The agency will serve both an existing customer base and new clients, creating opportunities for new business, cross-selling, referrals, and long-term book growth.

Responsibilities

• Generate new Personal Lines, Life, and potentially Commercial insurance business
• Prospect through phone, email, referrals, networking, and local business relationships
• Follow up with leads and prospective clients
• Prepare quotes and guide prospects through the sales process
• Cross-sell appropriate insurance products
• Develop and manage a consistent sales pipeline
• Build referral relationships with local businesses and professionals
• Maintain accurate sales and customer activity in the agency CRM
• Work toward established monthly production goals
• Develop long-term client relationships and generate referrals

What I’m Looking For

• Active Property & Casualty insurance license preferred
• Life and/or Health license is a plus
• Previous insurance sales or agency experience strongly preferred
• Experience selling Auto, Home, Life, and/or Commercial insurance is a plus
• Comfortable with outbound calling and prospecting
• Ability to generate business independently, not only work provided leads
• Strong follow-up and closing skills
• Professional communication and relationship-building skills
• Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented
• Comfortable working in a combination of office, remote, and potentially field-based environments

Experience with a captive or independent insurance agency is welcome.

Base salary: $annually, depending on experience and qualifications, plus performance-based commission.

The commission structure is designed to reward new business production, with strong earning potential for successful producers.

The position will initially offer flexibility for remote and hybrid work as the agency continues its launch and expansion.

Beginning in early 2027, the position is expected to include a combination of office, remote, and local business-development activity in the Chicagoland area .

This is an opportunity to join an agency during its early growth stage rather than simply step into a traditional servicing role.
