Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) – Night Shift

Location: Bricktown

State: New Jersey

Facility: Acute Care Hospital

Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts
Shift Timing: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Job Summary:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care therapy and cardiopulmonary support within a fast-paced acute care hospital environment. The RRT will perform diagnostic, therapeutic, and emergency respiratory procedures including ventilator management, airway support, and patient education while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory therapy treatments under medical direction

• Perform ventilator setup, monitoring, and management

• Assist with intubation and airway management procedures

• Conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and respiratory assessments

• Evaluate patient respiratory status and treatment effectiveness

• Educate patients and caregivers regarding respiratory therapies

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams

• Document respiratory treatments and patient progress accurately

• Respond quickly to emergency respiratory situations

• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and respiratory care standards

Required Skills & Experience:

• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience required

• 3+ years of experience preferred

• Experience with:

  • Mechanical ventilation management

  • Airway management

  • Arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis

• Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills

• Excellent communication and patient education abilities

• Ability to work effectively in high-pressure clinical environments

• Strong teamwork and adaptability required

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required

• Graduate of accredited Respiratory Therapy program required

Certifications & Licensure:

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification required

• Current New Jersey Respiratory Care License required

• BLS (AHA) required

• ACLS required

• PALS required

Additional Requirements:

• Every other weekend required

• 1 Summer holiday and 1 Winter holiday required

• No on-call requirement

• No floating requirement

• Scrub color: Grey
