School-Based Physical Therapist - Jamestown, NY

Desired Experience & Skills:

• New York Physical Therapist license (active and in good standing)
• Previous experience in school settings strongly preferred
• Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy and IEP processes
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with educators, students, and families
• Ability to travel to the school site as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy to students with a variety of needs, supporting their functional mobility and access to curriculum
• Conduct assessments and help develop individualized treatment plans in cooperation with education professionals
• Document progress, maintain thorough records, and comply with school and legal requirements
• Educate teachers and families about strategies to reinforce therapy goals within the classroom and at home
• Attend and participate in relevant meetings, collaborating as part of the student support team
