Instructional Program Support Coordinator Starting Date: Jul 1, 2026 Position Type: Full-Time Department: Office of Federal Programs Reports To: Director of Federal Programs FLSA Status: Exempt SUMMARY To support school-based personnel in the development and operation of grant‑funded instructional programs for students to meet and exceed District objectives and assure compliance with applicable District, Federal, and State regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Serves in a resource capacity to assist schools in the development and implementation of Title I programs. Assists in the identification and selection of participants for the assigned program(s). Assists in the identification of instructional needs of students who are eligible for the assigned program(s). Assists in the development of instructional plans for students served by the assigned program(s). Assists in the selection of instructional material and equipment for the assigned program(s), and in establishing effective training and monitoring to assure appropriate use of those resources. Assists in the development, provision and evaluation of staff development activities, as monitored by state‑level Federal Programs staff, to ensure that these funds are expended on best practices which have the maximum impact at the classroom level. Assists school administrators in meeting the requirements of applicable Federal and State laws by monitoring the planning, budgeting and implementation of the assigned program(s). Assists in the development, operation, and evaluation of effective parent‑involvement activities for the assigned program(s). Manages school‑level budgets and expenditures related to the implementation of activities outlined in approved plans of federal grant awards. Evaluates expenditure requests for allocability, allowability, and reasonableness related to the approved plans of federal grant awards. Creates, adjusts, and maintains school‑level budgets related to the approved plans of federal grant awards. Assists with annual and semi‑annual inventory maintenance and reconciliation for federal grant award expenditures. Assists schools with timely and accurate time and effort reporting on a monthly and semi‑annual basis. Utilizes accounting software to review federal grant expenditure reports for allowability and accuracy. Participates in activities that assure continued awareness of improved instructional programs and strategies. Works with private and charter school administrators as required by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Participates in program evaluation. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Federal Programs. Job Specifications Education & Experience: Master’s Degree, valid South Carolina certificate; 3–10 years related experience and/or training. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public. Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; to apply basic algebra and geometry. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. Other Skills & Abilities: Ability to transport between school buildings and districts; to apply current research and theory in the field; to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing; to operate a computer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); to perform duties with awareness of district requirements and Board policies. Physical Demands: Regular sitting, talking, hearing; occasional standing and walking; vision requirements include close vision and focus adjustment; ability to meet deadlines with severe time constraints and irregular or extended hours; responsibility for safety and well‑being of others; ability to meet demands from several people. Work Environment: Noise levels vary: loud in buildings, quiet in office, moderate at meetings. Terms of Employment: 12 months; Level 124 Pay Scale. Evaluation: Performance evaluated annually according to Board policy. Job Requirements Master’s degree preferred. Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
