This role ensures a safe and efficient workplace while maintaining compliance with company policies, safety guidelines, and food safety practices. Key Responsibilities Operate forklifts and transport equipment to move bins, fruit, packed product, and supplies Load/unload incoming and outgoing trucks, including grower shipments Prepare delivery receipts, shipping documents, and airway bills as needed Inspect and perform minor repairs/adjustments on equipment Assist with repairs and servicing of equipment Maintain clean and safe work areas, following all safety and food safety procedures Support utility crew operations, including repair/maintenance of treatment bins Qualifications High school diploma preferred (not required) One year of forklift driving experience required Previous experience in food handling or a manufacturing environment preferred Ability to read and follow instructions (written and oral) Strong teamwork, dependability, and adaptability Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in cold/hot environments Exposure to cold or hot environments and moving machinery Must adhere to Calavo's Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) Responsible for food safety and security awareness in daily duties #J-18808-Ljbffr Calavo Growers, Inc.
