We are seeking a hands-on, proactive Shipping Supervisor to lead our small outbound shipping team of 1-5 members. This role is vital to ensuring that palletized freight shipments are accurately prepped, inspected, documented, and loaded on time while maintaining a customer-focused flow of materials. As a key leader at Blue Diamond, you will organize workflows, train employees, and drive continuous improvements in efficiency and safety within our warehouse environment.

 

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities of the shipping team to ensure timely and accurate outbound shipments
• Train and ensure safe operation of forklifts and skid steers by team members
• Coach employees to follow standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards
• Collaborate with Quality, Inventory, and Operations to maintain FIFO accuracy, proper storage, and clean staging areas
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency, accuracy, and space utilization
• Maintain forklift certification and safely operate warehouse equipment as needed
• Utilize ERP systems for shipping and inventory management
• Maintain organized, safe, and efficient workplace conditions

 

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in shipping, inventory, or material handling
• 3+ years of supervisory, lead, or trainer experience with the ability to develop others
• Ability to train and enforce safe forklift and skid steer operation
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification
• Strong communication, organizational, and prioritization skills in fast-paced environments
• Positive attitude with a strong sense of customer urgency

Physical & Environmental Expectations

This is an active warehouse leadership role involving regular lifting up to 50 lbs, operating equipment, climbing, and working in both indoor and outdoor warehouse areas.
