Systems Engineer- W2 Only

DescriptionWe are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer with experience in identity management, messaging systems, and endpoint security. This role will focus on Active Directory and Entra ID integration, security remediation, and desktop endpoint management, supporting a modern enterprise environment.The ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who can quickly learn new technologies, adapt to evolving environments, and proactively address security vulnerabilities.Key Responsibilities1. Experience with M365 (AD Domain Trust experience)2. Someone with experience merging two tenants together3. Quest migration experience (Compliance, Connect network, Set up trust)Manage and support Active Directory (AD) and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) environments, including:Cross-tenant configurations and permissionsIntegration with legacy and modern applicationsSupport and maintain Exchange/Outlook environments, including mailbox administration and integration:Troubleshoot and remediate identity, access, and authentication issues across systemsPerform security remediation activities, including:Patch management and vulnerability remediationHardening systems (e.g., disabling ports, updating servers such as Oracle environments)Manage desktop endpoint environments, including:Packaging and deploying softwareManaging Group Policy Objects (GPOs)Supporting endpoint configuration and updatesPreferred Qualifications:Experience working with Intune, Tanium, or similar endpoint management toolsExposure to cross-tenant identity integrationExperience supporting hybrid or cloud-based enterprise environmentsFamiliarity with server hardening and enterprise application security (e.g., Oracle environments)Key Competencies:Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsAbility to quickly learn and adapt to new technologiesDetail-oriented with a focus on security and risk mitigationEffective communication and collaboration skillsSkillsActive directory, Systems engineering, AzureAdditional Skills & QualificationsWhile hands-on experience with specific tools is valuable, aptitude, adaptability, and the ability to remediate security challenges are the most critical success factors for this role.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Lansing, Michigan.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
