Responsibilities As a Part‑Time Respite Worker at Owen Health Care Inc. , you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for families with children who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. Your primary responsibility is to provide compassionate support, allowing caregivers the necessary time to attend to personal and household matters. You’ll assist families by engaging children in recreational and leisure activities, primarily in a home setting, ensuring they enjoy enriching experiences both at home and within the community. Company Overview Owen Health Care is a state‑licensed agency accredited by The Joint Commission. We provide compassionate, quality, and affordable health care services to adults with mental health, substance abuse, and co‑occurring disorders, and to all individuals with disabilities—including children and the elderly. Our licensed clinicians and highly qualified professionals are trained to provide the highest quality, compassionate care. Qualifications & Skills Strong verbal communication skills for initiating and maintaining conversations with managers, clients, and parents. Consistency in attendance and punctuality to provide reliable support to families. Experience working with children with disabilities. Effective interpersonal skills to foster satisfactory working relationships with families and other professionals. Strong time management skills to balance responsibilities effectively.
