Lab Manager

Summary:
Job Title: Lab Manager (Includes Innovation Lab, Computer Science Lab, STEM Lab or Makerspace lab)

The Lab Manager position provides instructional support activities.


Qualifications:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
• An Associate's Degree from an accredited institution;
• Possess 60 credit hours from an accredited U.S. college or university; or

Other Qualifications include:
• Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Prior experience working with students in a classroom setting preferred
• Ability and willingness to work well with others required
• Basic computer skills required
• Possess knowledge of subject content to provide relevant learning experiences

Responsibilities:
• Facilitates lessons and activities that reinforce learning through the use of district approved software and other resources
• Assist students with assignments
• Provide a well-managed, safe, student-centered environment that is academically challenging and respectful
• Participate in staff development training workshops to learn and update skills related to the position
• Maintains discipline and classroom control that fosters a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor

This position reports to the Principal of the assigned school.


Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy.

Terms of Employment:
This position works 9 ¼ months (185 days) per year and is paid on the Support/Non-Exempt Salary Schedule on Grade I unless otherwise noted.
