Staff Accountant

Industry: Wine & Spirits Distribution / Import Location: Port Washington, NY (Hybrid – 4 days in office, 1 day remote) Compensation: Up to $80,000 base salary Position Overview The Staff Accountant will support day-to-day accounting operations and play a key role in the full cycle accounting process. This role offers strong exposure across general accounting functions and is ideal for candidates early in their careers looking to build a solid foundation in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Support full cycle accounting processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close. Assist with general ledger maintenance and account analysis. Prepare and review financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Assist with audits and provide documentation as requested. Contribute to process improvements and ad hoc accounting projects. Qualifications 1–2+ years of full cycle accounting experience required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
