Job Description

General Summary:

The Behavioral Services Therapist, LPC, provides evidence based care in the diagnosis and treatment of mental illness and substance use disorders within an interdisciplinary team. Also provides individual, conjoint, group and family psychotherapy; in addition to crisis intervention services, as needed. Ensures that the quality of care is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable.

Qualifications

**EDUCATION REQUIRED:**

• Master's degree or Doctoral degree in counseling from a nationally or regionally-accredited institute of higher education
• Completion of an internship as part of degree program
• Coursework in human behavior and development, effective counseling strategies, ethical practice, and pertinent core knowledge areas

**EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:**

• Minimum of 3,000 hours of post-master's degree supervised clinical experience
• Clinical experience must be completed within two years of degree completion

**CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED:**

• Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
