Accounts Payable Manager

We are working with a growing organization seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee daily AP operations, manage team workflow, and support process improvement within a high-volume accounting environment. This person will be responsible for ensuring invoices, approvals, payments, reconciliations, and vendor-related activity are handled accurately and timely. The ideal candidate will bring strong full-cycle AP experience, leadership capabilities, and the ability to improve processes as the department continues to grow. Responsibilities Oversee full-cycle accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, payment runs, vendor management, expense review, and reconciliation support. Manage AP team workflow and ensure deadlines are met accurately and consistently. Review invoice coding, approvals, payment accuracy, and supporting documentation. Support month-end close through AP reconciliations, accruals, aging reports, and related schedules. Partner with accounting leadership on reporting, controls, process improvements, and department efficiencies. Maintain vendor records and assist with resolving vendor issues, discrepancies, and payment inquiries. Ensure compliance with internal policies, approval workflows, and accounting procedures. Assist with AP audits, documentation requests, and special projects as needed. Must Haves 3+ years of AP management or AP supervisory experience Strong full-cycle accounts payable background Experience in a larger company or multi-entity environment Experience managing or overseeing AP staff High-volume invoice processing experience Strong payment processing, vendor management, and reconciliation experience Month-end close support experience, including accruals and AP reporting Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred ERP/accounting system experience preferred Process improvement or AP automation experience is a plus Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable leading AP operations in a fast‑paced environment.
