Press Brake Operator Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred 4 years of experience in press brake operations Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic job shop environment Organized, detail oriented, and dependable Ability to solve problems High school diploma or GED Job Duties Perform all duties of an Entry-Level Press Brake Operator Program, set up and operate press brake to produce new parts meeting specifications, including customer and internal requirements Interpret work orders, drawings, and blueprints Load the machine with sheet metal for production and adjust machine speeds as necessary Measure completed work pieces to verify conformance to specifications using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates and rulers Run bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches Use a CNC controller to input information into the machine Perform complex programming using all features of the press brake Resolve problems relating to materials, operations, quality or other factors as they arise, including routine and minor maintenance activities according to procedures, ensuring machine is calibrated, cleaned, and operating correctly Complete and maintain paperwork Identify assembly parts Set up light gauge metal Configure bend allowances for sheet metal Other duties as assigned Physical Demands 20/20 vision with or without correction, use of hands 100% of the time, stand, bend, stoop, twist, turn.
