Clinician I - Assessment (Regular Part-Time, Hourly) Program: Downtown IMPACT (Downtown SD) Region: Downtown San Diego Services: Mobile Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Career Type: Clinicians Hours: 20 hours per week during Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Work schedule to be assigned by program. Pay Rate: $38.46 to $38.85 per hour Education: Master's degree in a behavioral health-related field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling required Licensure: License, license-eligible or registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) required Candidates who are eligible to submit their BBS application within 60 days of conferred Master's degree are encouraged to apply. Clinical supervision is available for this position. Responsibilities Conduct initial intake assessments and screening for new referrals. Assist with crisis intervention and performs triage duties. Develop and update individual treatment service plans for clients and assist with case management of shared caseload. Provide ongoing therapy, rehab and case management to clients on the ACT team. Provide crisis triage and evening outreach to clients. Manage database records to track referrals. Network with community providers to develop resources for our clients. Provide presentations about program to community providers to further knowledge of services provided by the program and qualifying referrals. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience working with a mental health population, especially with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential Ability to work independently, self-directed and highly organized This program is housed in a two-story building that does have an elevator; however, ability to navigate stairs may be required. A valid California driver's license in good standing, personal vehicle, proof of insurance and eligibility to be an approved CRF driver is required to fulfill the essential functions of this position Ability to pass criminal/background clearance CRF inspires and mentors the next generation of mental health professionals! Our Intensive Mobile Psychosocial Assertive Community Treatment programs ( Downtown IMPACT , IMPACT, Senior IMPACT and South Bay IMPACT) provide intensive, community-based case management services for homeless adults throughout San Diego County. We deliver fully integrated services to clients diagnosed with a serious mental illness, as well as individuals with co-occurring, mental health, and substance disorders. Our programs utilizes the evidence-based practice of Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) to support our clients in the higher level of community care and to assist them in reaching their goals and living a life not dominated by mental illness.
