Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in industrial and commercial electrical systems, with a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety standards. This role involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems across various construction and renovation projects. Duties Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems in industrial, commercial, and construction settings Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately Troubleshoot electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and power tools Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in compliance with NEC standards Program and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems Conduct renovations and upgrades on existing electrical infrastructure Ensure all work adheres to safety protocols, including proper handling of power tools and hand tools Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure timely project completion Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for compliance and future reference Requirements Valid Journeyperson Electrician license or certification Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician, with construction site experience preferred Strong knowledge of NEC codes, schematics, blueprints, and low/high voltage systems Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and schematics reading Ability to work safely at heights and around construction sites Maintenance Person experience or frame carpentry skills are a plus for versatile project support Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments This position is integral to ensuring the safety and functionality our projects.
