Registered Nurse - NICU

Job Description

Job Summary:
Providing specialized nursing care for critically ill neonates in a Level 3 NICU, the NICU RN ensures the safety, comfort, and well-being of premature and fragile newborns. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive neonatal healthcare.

Responsibilities:

• Administer advanced clinical care including CPAP, ventilators, and UVC lines to critically ill neonates.
• Support labor and delivery when needed, providing developmental and emotional care to neonates and families.
• Monitor and interpret patient conditions, responding promptly to changes and providing necessary interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to coordinate patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient status, treatments, and progress.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and hospital protocols.

Qualifications:

• Possess 2-3 years of experience in a Level 3 NICU or similar critical care setting.
• Hold an active BSN degree and current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills in neonatal intensive care.
• Exhibit positive attitude, initiative, dependability, and flexibility.
• Show excellent communication and empathetic patient-family interaction skills.
