Weekend coverage required for approximately half of scheduled shifts. Patient ratio 1:6. Float required as needed. Highlights: 13-week travel assignment on a 36-bed orthopedic medical/surgical unit Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including PT, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, and spinal cord injuries 36 hours of orientation provided to support your transition to the unit Work with a full range of orthopedic and medical/surgical procedures including wound care, chest tubes, and post-operative management Requirements: Active Texas RN license or compact state license (must be in hand at time of application) Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required Previous travel nursing experience preferred BLS certification required; ACLS and NIHSS preferred Epic charting system experience required Trauma Level I or II experience preferred Proficiency in medical/surgical and orthopedic nursing skills including IV management, wound care, telemetry monitoring, and post-operative care Why Join Us?
