Staff Pharmacist Opportunity

An established retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to enhance their pharmacy team. This role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment servicing approximately 3,000 prescriptions weekly with strong technician support during busy periods. The pharmacist will contribute to efficient pharmacy workflow, provide expert patient counseling, and uphold compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and process prescriptions using the PioneerRx system
• Provide clear, compassionate patient counseling and answer medication-related inquiries
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations and support technician workflow
• Ensure compliance with Kentucky pharmacy laws and federal regulations
• Deliver excellent customer service in a high-volume retail setting
• Assist with pharmacy operations including scheduled Saturday coverage (1-2 Saturdays per month)

Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience highly preferred
• Experience using PioneerRx system is a strong plus
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume pharmacy environment
• Excellent communication skills and a focus on customer service
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team
• Flexibility to work one to two Saturdays per month

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four weekdays per week)
• Saturday coverage approximately 1-2 times per month, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
