We want you on our team... Clark Regional Medical Center located in Winchester, a 20 minute drive from Lexington, KY is searching for a PRN pharmacist.

Essential functions of position include, but are not limited to:

• Manages drug therapy protocols as a part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Reviews, interprets and evaluates medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential or actual drug related problems.
• Provides drug information and education to medical staff, healthcare professionals, and patients, and pharmacy students.
• Documents interventions and their outcomes for use in drug therapy quality improvement efforts.
• Evaluates medication orders for accuracy and completeness prior to order entry. Checks for accuracy after filling by technicians.
• Maintains adequate knowledge of pharmacy automated systems and computer software.
• Ability to manage patients in an outpatient anticoagulation clinic, including operation of Point-of-Care testing, evaluation of results, dosing and scheduling.

Minimum Education Graduate from school of pharmacy or active license to serve as proof of education- Required Doctor of Pharmacy - Preferred At least 1 year hospital pharmacy experience or completion of PGY1 residency -Preferred

Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - obtain within 30 days of hire

Licenses: Kentucky Board of Pharmacy in good standing
