If this sounds like you, then we need to talk… Frazer, a leading builder of emergency medical vehicles, is currently seeking an Aluminum Welder to join our team. The Aluminum Welder at Frazer reports to the Aluminum Assembly Production Supervisor, and is responsible for quickly and accurately reading blueprints, carefully aligning and clamping together aluminum and steel components in jigs, and then welding components together to meet engineering weld specifications. Aluminum Welder must also be proficient with various hand tools to assist the aluminum assembly team with whatever tasks are needed while building ambulance modules to meet production goals for customers. This position is expected to actively live out Frazer Core Values while working with Frazer employees, vendors, and customers to help achieve team, department, and corporate goals. Responsible for learning and reinforcing safe and proper work procedures while actively following Frazer Safety programs and other policies outlined in the Employee Handbook. Responsibilities Read and understand blueprints, instructions and service manuals as well as verbal instructions and related literature to accomplish required jobs. Carefully align and clamp aluminum and steel components in jigs, and weld components to meet engineering weld specifications. Proficient with various hand tools to assist the aluminum assembly team with tasks while building ambulance modules to meet production goals. Weld, bolt, clamp, screw, rivet, staple, glue, caulk, seal, tape and use other fastening means as needed to secure parts in position. Lay out, position, align, cut, shape, install, and weld together aluminum components/parts to make body modules. Operate, set up, and maintain welding machines (including tip and liner changes) and other equipment. Perform minor repairs to equipment using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment. Cut, form, grind and layout materials and assemble using welding, gluing or other fastening techniques. Adhere to established company policies and procedures with emphasis on safety and 6S standards. Qualifications Minimum of high school diploma or GED. Must be detail oriented; prior aluminum modular assembly experience is helpful. Must be able to work as part of a team and independently. Salary and Schedule Salary: Frazer offers competitive pay; this role starts with a salary between $18.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on education, certifications, and experience. Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM. Afternoons/evenings/weekends may be required; schedules may change to meet production needs.
