This role will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant revenue recognition under U.S. GAAP, partnering cross-functionally with FP&A, Sales Operations, and Billing, and driving operational excellence across the revenue cycle.This position will lead a team of five high performing individuals and report into the Global Controller organization. You will play a key leadership role in supporting financial reporting, audits, and process transformation initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesRevenue Accounting & CloseLead the global revenue accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606Manage the month-end close process for revenue, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting packagesEnsure timely and high-quality balance sheet reconciliations and account analysesTechnical Accounting & ComplianceInterpret and apply U.S. GAAP revenue accounting guidance to complex SaaS and multi-element arrangementsMaintain and document revenue accounting policies and proceduresSupport internal and external audit requests, ensuring timely and accurate responsesCross-Functional PartnershipPartner closely with FP&A, Sales Ops, and Billing teams to ensure accurate contract interpretation and revenue treatmentProcess Improvement & SystemsDrive automation and process improvements across the revenue cycle to improve efficiency and accuracySupport system enhancements and implementations (e.g., billing, revenue recognition tools)Leadership & Team DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a team of revenue accountants Foster a high-performance, collaborative, and control-focused team environmentQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on revenue accountingStrong knowledge of ASC 606 / SaaS/ License/ Professional Service revenue recognitionExperience managing global or multi-entity revenue processesProven ability to lead teams and drive process improvementsExperience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and SalesForce/Certinia a plusStrong analytical, communication, and leadership skillsWhy Join AccruentHigh-impact leadership role within a growing global finance organizationOpportunity to drive transformation in revenue accounting processes and systemsCollaborative culture with strong cross-functional partnershipCompetitive compensation, bonus, and benefits#LI-CS23Fortive Corporation OverviewFortive's essential technology makes the world safer and more productive.
