Software Engineer

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Software Engineer in Camden, NJ for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role focuses on developing high-performance C++ software supporting advanced radar modeling and simulation systems. You will contribute to digital twin environments and system-level simulations used in next-generation radar technologies.

Required Skills

• Active Secret clearance or higher
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Physics, or related STEM field
• 6-9 years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience with C++ or other object-oriented programming languages (Java, C#, etc.)
• Experience working in Agile environments (scrum, sprint planning, release planning)
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills
• Experience mentoring or leading technical efforts

Preferred Skills

• Strong background in linear algebra, statistical analysis, or signal processing
• Experience with radar systems, modeling, or simulation environments
• Experience developing algorithms, data analysis, or simulation software
• Experience working with radar design tools or system modeling frameworks
• Technical leadership experience supporting program execution

What You'll Do

• Develop high-performance C++ software for radar modeling and simulation
• Support simulation components including signal processing, scene modeling, and radar control
• Integrate software within larger system-of-systems environments
• Collaborate with systems engineers, architects, and technical leads
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical direction
• Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning and execution
• Develop and maintain technical documentation
• Support development of high-fidelity digital twin simulation environments

• Hybrid: Onsite in Camden, NJ at least 4 days per week
