Metal Fabrication

Position Title: Metal Fabricator I Department: Metal Fabrication Location: Washington, MO Reports To: Metal Fab Supervisor Position Summary The Metal Fabricator I is an entry-level fabrication role responsible for supporting the production of high-quality metal components under direct supervision. This position focuses on learning Clemco’s standard work, developing technical skill, and contributing to a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. This role supports our commitment to Speed, Agility, and Simplification by learning to perform tasks correctly the first time and continuously improving skill and process knowledge. Key Responsibilities Learn and perform basic fabrication tasks following detailed drawings and written instructions Assist with machine setups under supervision Read and interpret simple drawings and work orders Use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers Maintain quality standards through careful inspection of work Operate forklifts and overhead cranes (training provided if needed) Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Participate in 5S and continuous improvement efforts Support team members to meet daily production demand Perform additional duties as assigned Required Skills & Qualifications Technical Skills Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of decimals and fractions) Ability to read simple drawings and specifications Willingness to learn machine operations and setups Ability to read measuring instruments accurately Behavioral Competencies (Aligned to VPBs) We Own It – Takes responsibility for learning and quality Progress Over Perfection – Open to coaching and skill development Use the Best Known Method – Follows standard work Serve – Supports team and daily production goals Focus on the Process, Not the Person – Embraces feedback Physical Requirements Light to moderate physical effort Frequent standing, lifting, bending, and use of hand tools Attention to detail and visual focus on quality Clean and organized manufacturing setting Exposure to metal, oil, and minor skin abrasions PPE required Responsibility Level Responsible for individual work output Limited independent decision-making Clemco Industries Corporation is an Equal Opportunity Employer. JOB CONDITIONS:

Job is inside, but area is not climate controlled as tractor trailer delivery doors are open periodically throughout the day. Must follow established safety rules to prevent injury to self and others. Protective equipment, assistance with lifting, and respirators required for some tasks; all PPE is provided by Clemco. Job requires nearly continual standing, moderate physical exertion, and continuous attention to detail. Lifting could be up to 50 pounds; help and appropriate protective equipment is available. Continuous mental and visual attention are required for safety and to maintain required tolerances.
