DRAM Firmware Integration Engineer

Title: DRAM Firmware/Integration Engineer
Location: Rancho Cordova, CA
Pay: $49/hr (W2, contract, 6 months with possible extension)

Join an innovative team designing the firmware that powers next-generation SSDs! We’re seeking a DRAM Firmware/Integration Engineer to develop, validate, and integrate DRAM drivers for platforms using DDR4 and DDR5 technology.
In this role, you will:
- Develop, validate, and integrate DRAM driver firmware for SSD platforms
- Configure DDR4/DDR5 mode registers and validate DRAM operations
- Build expertise in DRAM PHY IP and ECC functionality
- Develop/debug DRAM initialization, training techniques, and refresh policies
- Use lab tools (oscilloscopes, soldering, power supplies) for hands-on validation
- Create test procedures for DRAM debugging
- Collaborate closely with internal and external engineering teams
- Lead root-cause analysis and documentation efforts
Must Haves:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or similar)
- 3+ years DRAM (DDR4/DDR5) experience (development, integration, testing)
- Hands-on with DRAM ECC and PHY IP
- Proficient with memory testing software & hardware debug tools
- Strong documentation, teamwork, and communication skills
