Requisition #: 668059 Location: Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, MD 20814 Category: Support Services (Services/Trades) Schedule: Evening Shift Employment Type: Full Time Position Summary The Housekeeping Associate, under general supervision, performs cleaning functions as assigned to provide a clean, germ‑free environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Performs cleaning tasks in assigned areas, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness by utilizing the Seven Step Cleaning procedure on a daily basis. The Seven Step Cleaning Procedure is: empty trash, high dust, damp wipe horizontal surfaces using a germicidal cleaner, clean bathroom, dust mop, wet mop, inspect room for cleanliness. Has access to clean supply areas including, but not limited to, IV solutions, needles, and syringes for the purpose of obtaining and restocking linen and/or supplies. The job duties are to assist indirectly in providing patient care by ensuring a safe, healthful, and pleasant environment. Work occasionally requires internal contacts outside the work group to exchange work‑related information. Shift Full‑time, Evening shift (40 hrs per week) 3:00pm – 11:30pm Every Other Weekend Required Every other weekend required. Location Suburban Hospital, 8600 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda, MD 20814 Education/Experience High school diploma or equivalent is required, can be substituted for 3 months relevant experience. 6 months relevant experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Salary Range Minimum $18.27/hour – Maximum $27.13/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
