Our expert solutions span the entire asset lifecycle—from early project planning and design review through to operational support and end-of-life management.The OpportunityWe are seeking a Quality Engineer (Electrical) to support quality assurance and issue resolution activities across electrical equipment, manufacturing, and supply chain environments.This role is ideally suited to an engineer with hands-on experience in transformers, inverters, and electrical systems, who enjoys working collaboratively across suppliers, manufacturing facilities, and project teams to ensure compliance, reliability, and product readiness.You will play a key role throughout the full equipment lifecycle, including design, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, handover, service, and warranty phases, contributing to safer, higher-quality outcomes on complex industrial and energy projects.Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Leadership & Issue ResolutionLead investigations into quality issues across design, specification, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and field operationsDrive robust root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and timely issue closureEngage proactively with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and client stakeholders to resolve quality concernsManufacturing & Supply Chain QualitySupport incoming and in-process inspections of electrical equipment and componentsWork closely with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and quality plansAssist in developing and implementing consistent quality processes, controls, and reporting systemsElectrical Equipment FocusProvide quality engineering support for: TransformersInvertersSwitchgear, converters, control panels, and associated electrical componentsReview inspection, testing, and Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documentationTesting, Validation & ReadinessSupport testing and validation activities including functional testing, electrical checks, wiring verification, and commissioningEnsure equipment meets safety, performance, and reliability requirements prior to shipment or handoverDocumentation & Data AnalysisMaintain quality records including inspection reports, non-conformances, test data, deviation logs, and lessons learnedAnalyse quality data (NCRs, CAPAs, supplier issues) to identify trends and reduce recurrenceSupport quality-based risk assessments and readiness decisionsAbout YouBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline1–5+ years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing quality, supplier quality, or operational environmentsStrong technical background in transformers, inverters, and electrical systemsExperience working with suppliers, manufacturers, and complex supply chainsFamiliarity with quality systems, inspections, audits, and change managementAnalytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and sound judgementConfident communicator with excellent reporting and documentation capabilitiesAbility to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary and multicultural teamsDesirable ExperienceQuality engineering experience within energy, renewables, or heavy electrical equipmentSupplier quality management and factory surveillanceUnderstanding of product lifecycle quality controls and risk managementExposure to large-scale energy or infrastructure projectsHow We CareWe offer a competitive salary and an opportunity to advance your career in a leading global organisation, as well as:Fantastic training and professional development opportunitiesDiscounted Health & Wellbeing PlatformFree access to our Employee Assistance Program supported by LifeworksDiscounted private health insurance with BupaAccess to Cliqit, our employee retail discount portalSuperannuation salary sacrifice optionsA Rewarding CareerThis role offers more than just building a résumé—it’s an opportunity to leave your mark.
